Implements support for SATA-II 3GB/s and USB 3.0. The unit is designed
to acquire todays High Performance drives and prepares the user with
the hardware necessary to take advantage of tomorrows hard drive speed
improvements. The units advanced Duplication Technology provides the
capability of performing multiple operations simultaneously. Capture
and Wipe drives at transfer rates exceeding 7GB/min. Average speeds are
recorded as follows: 100% Capture at 6.9 GB/min, Hash E01 at
7.15GB/min, E01 Capture & SHA1 at 3.7GB/min, E01 Capture at
4.2GB/min.
- Ruggedized Design:
The new Image MASSter Solo-102 Forensic unit is built in a shock
absorbent ruggedized case that allows the Forensic Investigator to
easily store, carry, and utilize the unit in even the toughest
environments.
- Small and Light Weight:
The Image MASSter Solo-102 Forensic weighs approximately 7 lbs and
measures 10.80" x 9.85" x 4.50" (27.43cm x 25.01cm x 11.43cm)
- New Improved User-friendly touch screen interface: color touch screen display offers an intuitive improved interface with easy navigation including a wizard mode.
- Suspect/ Evidence Connections:
One SATA-2 (e-SATA connector) port and one USB 3.0 port are available
for the Suspect drive position. One SATA-2 (e-SATA connector) port
and one USB 3.0 port are available for Evidence 1 drive position. The
unit includes one IDE Adapter. One SATA-2(e-SATA connector) port and
one USB 2.0 port are available for Evidence 2 drive position.
Optional adapters are available for 1.8, 2.5, ZIF, and micro SATA
interfaces including adapters for Flash media such as Compact Flash,
Memory Sticks, SD, Micro SD, Multi Media card, etc. SCSI drives can be
acquired utilizing 3rd Party USB-to-SCSI adapters. Supports copying
data between different drive interfaces such as copying from an IDE
Suspect drive to a SATA Evidence drive. The Suspect port is
Write-Protected by default to prevent any accidental changes to the
Suspect drives Data.
- Operational Modes: One-to-One Copy Mode Captures one Suspect drive to one Evidence drive (1:1). Multi Copy Mode - Captures "Suspect" drive to up to two "Evidence" drives (1:2). Multiple Image Storage
Store multiple Suspect drive images using a single Evidence
drive. Sanitize drives using Single Pass, DoD Standard, or Secure
Erase. Hardware Accelerated SHA-1 and SHA-2 Hashing functions. Standard
MD-5 Hashing also included. Upload Suspect images to a shared Network
Storage location using the native 1 Gigabit Ethernet interface.
- Multiple Imaging Formats: Single Capture: Creates Mirror image of Suspects drive. Linux DD:
Supports storing single or multiple DD images (industry standard) on a
single Evidence Hard Drive or USB storage device. User can define the
size of the Linux DD image segments. E01 files: Supports capturing data using the Encase(R) Forensics image file format. IQ Copy (Optional):
Used to capture only allocated data of a Suspects drive, greatly
reducing the time needed to make a non-forensic acquisition. It is also
used to duplicate drives for IT purposes such as backup, deploy and
upgrade to larger capacity drives.
- On-the-Fly Data Encryption: Utilizing
the built-in AES 256 Encryption Technology the Image MASSter Solo-102
encrypts with minimal speed degradation all digital data during the
Acquisition Process for the purpose of safe- guarding sensitive
information. The Image MASSter Solo-102 creates a secure key with a
user-chosen pass phrase. An AES 256 encryption key is then generated by
the Image MASSter Solo-102 and can be saved to any USB thumb drive.
The encrypted drive can be decrypted on the fly utilizing the Image
MASSter Solo-102 or any regular PC loaded with the ICS free decryption
utility and the USB thumb drive containing the saved key. User can then
safely image the decrypted data to an additional target drive. The
Image MASSter Solo-102 supports the AES 256-bit block cipher
Encryption Standard, which has been approved by NIST and chosen in the
US as the government standard.
- Image Restore: Restore a previously captured DD or E01 image to the original Source drive format.
